This environment is based on a concept by Robert Simons that I found online from the Mass Effect universe.

I created all elements of this UDK scene, including models, textures, shaders, and lighting.



This scene was made with modular textures.  Everything save a few unique assets was textured with one of these two 2048x2048 textures.

I start by modeling all of the pieces in low poly, so that I can get a feel for the size and scale of the environment.

The second step in this project was to make the major textures for the elements of the scene.
